Today Matt told us a little about his blog, which he did on the Winter Olympics. He had heard that the gold metals for the summer olympics were made of all gold, but for the winter they were made of recycled materials and had just a little bit of gold. Nice eco-friendly idea, but I wonder how it makes the athletes feel? I know I would want an all-gold one! Mr. Bruns also went over Latin America with us today. He also started to show us his powerpoint. He explained about conservative Republicans and liberal Democrats, plus some examples of groups and stuff that belong to them. (A group that supports men's relationships with younger boys? really? I mean I know Democrats support gay rights, but honestly? A little too liberal there!) He told us other things, too, like how Fox News is more Republican, where CNN and MSNBC are viewed as much more Democrat. We'll pick back up on that Monday. Also, our Iraq blogs are due Sunday night!! I hope no one forgets about theirs if they haven't started on them yet!
