Today, we studied the states capitals again. Our assigned blog for next week will be a free choice current event. We also continued with our discussion about Afghanistan. In 1979, the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, which eventually led to their decline. America helped Afghanistan by giving them weapons and supplies. In the process of helping them, radical terrorist groups such as the Taliban began to form and turn against us, wanting us to return to our own country and leave them alone. We also talked about President Barack Obama’s policies about Afghanistan and his plans for the war. During the last 15 minutes of classes, we had time to do message board posts and continue planning for our presentations which we will present on Tuesday next week.
