Today was yet another workday. Oh yeah, and its Friday! I don't know why I am acting so glad because I am going to spend nearly my whole weekend shut in at home doing projects and whatnot so that I can get it all out of the way in a decent time. http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/New_Deal_opposition.htm I started my research on Francis Townshed.
Townshed was one of many people who fiercely opposed Roosevelt and his New Deal. Roosevelt wanted to raise taxes on the wealthy which caused a big uproar in the wealthy pig community. They felt that Roosevelt was betraying them. The Supreme Court tried valiantly to get rid of nearly all of Roosevelts New Deal plans and unfortunately got 11 out of the 16 propositions nullified.
They did this because they were ultimately bribed by the wealthy to fight Roosevelt. They wanted revenge, and the members of Congress and the Supreme Court were funded by and worked for the rich and powerful of the country. This gave the greedy mongrels in the government a greater advocacy to fight Roosevelt, because when the rich lose money, so do they.
The more and more that I hear about all of these stories of the rich being pompous and greedy pigs and the more that I can relate those stories to that of today's stories, the more I get sick. It's terrible to think about all of the damage that those people would inflict on people and the country in order to make a quick buck.
