Today was the 4th day of our presentations

What was the New Deal(1st and 2nd) and it's goals(3 R's)?
The Three R's were Releif, Reform, and Recovery.

Why did people criticize the New Deal? they thought that a lot of the acts were uneffective or a waste of tax payer dollars.

Why was FDR upset with the US Supreme Court and what did he do to try to solve this issue?

How did the New Deal help:

unemployed- the WPA helped many unemployed by creating jobs. the jobs mainly dealt with construction. the
National Labor Relations Act established minimum wage and maximum work hours. which is still around today to make work fair for people. the WPA supplied $4 billion to help get unemployed workers back on their feet.

farmers-The agriculture Adjustment act helped farmers

factory workers/labor-the Wagner act helped set rules for employment like a set amount of buisness hours and a minimum wage.

young people- the National Youth Organization helped many young poeple get jobs and help them further their career if they have a job. Many young people dropped out because they needed to make money to help their family so it greatly helped them. The Corps help young adults develop skills to help them get jobs. but was eventually cancelled to use the budget to pay for war efforts in 1942.

banks/business- the Reconstruction Finance Corporation helped the banks buisnesses and other associations loans. the FSA prohibited fraud in the sales of securities and insurances. The FDIC provides insurace for banks and covers the money in your account. the FDIC also helped keep financial stability.

home owners- The UHSA created many houses and jobs for the poor and homeless
elderly-

Native Americans- set aside more land for indians because they were living in slums. this act was a reinforcement to the land which they already owned.
