We had a work day today because Mr. Bruns was gone. Our group got together to look up stuff for the political debate we will be doing next week. Shannon, Ana, Trey, Courtney, Makayla, and I are the Democrat team. We each are splitting up the topics to find the democrats view on them. I am finding information on minimum wage and health care. The Democratic Party is committed to making it possible for every American citizen to have health care coverage that is not only affordable but also effective. Democrats believe that it’s necessary to invest in stem cell research, along with other medical research that could possibly give cure and treatment to over a million Americans. They want to try and fix the Medicare problem so that all seniors are able to afford their medication that they need. Currently the Medicare program helps out drug companies more than it helps the elders. The program lets drug companies change the price of the products they sell more often than seniors are allowed to change their health care plans.
