AAA:
Started May 12 1933
Farmers were paid to cut down on the crops they producted
Not having so much surplus would raise prices giving farmers money
In 1938 they revised it
In WW2 the AAA focused on increasing food supplies for the war
Some farmers were mad about having to tear up what they already planted
AAA general idea is still around today
Huey Long:
Born on August 30, 1893
Only went to law school for a little over a year then took the final exam and passed so he started his private practice as a lawyer
He fought for the poor because he grew up in teh middle class
he was a critic of the FDR's New Deal
Started "Share Our Wealth "
Take from the rich give to the poor
FDR made people work for their money and Huey just wanted to give it to him
Assassinated

One of the oldest protection agencies
Estabblished in 1938
Replaced the Pure Food and Drug Act
Makes sure products are labeled
Royal S. Copeland served as teh primary author and sponsor of Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938
It is still around today

FDR was not happy with the courts decisions that dealt with the New Deal
People thought that he was going to become a dictator
Anyone over 70 roosevelt was able to add one new guy
This deal was not passed
