Today is Friday and I am completely ready for the weekend. Mr. Bruns is giving us today to work on our Cold War project. I have Joe McCarthy and McCarthyism. Joe McCarthy absolutely hated communism. He had his own private war to fight communism in America. He was a big force behind the Red Scare that swpet the nation. The Red Scare was a movement where people spoke out against and fought communism. People saw communism everywhere and it was a bad time for the government.
Many speculate that McCarthy did many of the things that he did just so that he could win the publics respect for him. He wanted to be known as the man who destroyed communism. That is about as far as I got for my research today. It will be a great day in history when communism is abolished from the world.
