Amendment 19: women's right to vote(women's suffrage). Amendment 20:(lame duck) sets the date of the inauguration from March to now January 20 and lowers time to have a "lame duck" President. Officially sets when a President and VP terms start and end. Amendment 21: repealed the 18th amendment and allowed alcohol to be legal again, it lasted 13 years, called the Noble Experiment, needed because of violent crime and too much violence. Amendment 22: limits the President to 2 four year terms(no more than 10 years) because FDR was elected office 4 terms, important because it was kind of like a Dictatorship. Amendment 23: Citizens of Washington, DC gained the right to vote in presidential elections and earned 3 electoral college votes, was passed in 1961. Amendment 24: ended mandatory poll taxes(had to pay to vote). Amendment 25: Outlines procedures for the succession to the presidency. The VP takes over as president if the president is unable to fulfill his/her job. Amendment 26: allowing 18 year-olds the right to vote, passed in 1971. Amendment 27: Congress can give themselves a pay raise, but they have to wait until after the next election before they can get it, passed in 1992.
