Pacific Front

In Battle of Iwo Jima, Japan's main goal was to capture two airfields. Americans won at the start. The US had 6821 deaths and 20,000 were wounded. Japan gad around 18,000 deaths. The Battle Of Midway was the most important naval battle. Japan's plan was to lure US aircraft carriers and extend defense perimeter. US knew the attack was coming because they broke Japan's code. The US dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese surrendered. This ended WW2 on August 15, 1945.


African Front

The first area we decided to invade. Erwin Rommel joined the 124th Wurttenburg infantry regiment as a cadet in 1910 and served in world war one and saw combat in France, Romania, and Italy. General Montgomery served in India before being sent to France at the beginning of World War One. The outbreak of WW2, Montgomery was sent to France. US General Patton was known to carry pistols with ivory handles. After WW1 he led jobs in Hawaii and Washington DC.


Italilan/Mediterranean Front

Dwight D. Eisenhower was a general from the US. Harold Alexander was a British officer and fought in the invasion of Sicily. George S. Patton was a US general. Benito Mussolini was one of the commander and chief of something. He wanted the sea to be Italian.
