Today in U.S History we are going to try to finish our assign blog from last week.
11. Describe the early development of US political parties.
Disagree on the national bank, government. Different jefferson- more strict. Hamilton- more giving to things and wanted to have a national bank( came up with it). Jefferson-supported french revelultion. Hamilton didnot. George washington supported Hamilton. Not good to have two parties it just messed thing up. Jefferson wanted stronger everything. Hamilton got shot by jeffersons help. Today we have Hamiltons Government, even though he didnt become president.
12. Describe the accomplishments of Washington, Jefferson, and Jackson as President.
Washington- 1st president- set a standerd for other president. He help set up the cabinet, serpreme court, etc. Great leader for others. Jefferson- believed in less power, Purtuce LA Pertuce. Jackson- 7th president wanted to help people out. Streghten the federal government, forced native americans out of their home( Trail of Tears).
13. Describe the causes and effects of the War of 1812.
Us and Great Britan. GB was atacking the places by US. impressment- B would not stop and that got to the US and that start the war. Won- No one but alot belived Great Britain won. War really didnt need to happen it just did. US no good army. Effects- US got respect. Manufactoring( cotton) more active.
14. Describe the causes and effects of the Texas War for Independence.
Place in Texas. Confect between mexico and texans. Mexico said that u need to be chalic no slaves and speak spanish. Won War- Texas Effects independent nation.
15. Describe the causes and effects of the Mexican-American War.
Causes- america thought that the border was in different places. President 11 wanted to expand the U.S border. Unjust war for the United States. Thought that we would get more land money etc. Effects- US won Get Land from winning. We got something called the Mexican astion. payed 15 million $ for the land. Took 50% of their land.
16. Describe reasons people moved westward in the early parts of our history.
Got west if in trouble... There was reason Civil war just ended, Gold Rush. Religus freedom, mormands moved to Uath. Farm land, other riches- sivler timber. movet to get away from legail problems.
17. Describe major events, compromises and incidents leading up to the Civil War..
Underground railroad- was were african could run to and become free by running house to house till u get north
