Jaycee Lee Dugard was held captive for 18 years. She was in fifth grade when her step dad saw her being kidnapped on her way to her bus stop. He had tried biking after the kidnapper, but of corse the car was too fast. Jaycee had identified herself as Allissa when she was found. Garrido, her kidnapper, showed up for a meeting about a religious event with his wife, two girls and a blonde woman.During that time he confessed to the kidnapping.
Jaycee lived in tents, boxes, and sheds during that time. She also was raped. The two girls that were with Garrido were her daughters. They are 15 and 11 years old. Jaycee never tried to run away and bonded with Garrido. That is probably the reason she is still alive. When her family found out they said that they cried forever because they had never given up hope. They are so happy to be back together. Personally I think it would be kind of weird to have a mom that young.
