The first amendment states that Congress cannot violate the freedom of speech or press. Freedom of speech means that you can say whatever you want and believe in, and the freedom of press means to print and write want you want without the government telling you that you can’t. The White House has just recently criticized Fox News that “they are not really a news station; they are just pushing a point of view.” The number one news station that people rely on the truth for has been said it is “just entertainment.” They usually tell people interesting information that is not heard on other channels. The White House is saying that they are the complete opposite of there saying, “fair and balanced.” Fox has criticized President Obama, and the White House does not want any one saying bad things about Obama.I think Fox news does a really good job of giving the story and then both sides. There are other channel broadcasts that are a lot more bias than Fox. The only reason the White House is going after Fox News is that they are telling the truth about what is happening in the United States. I think that Americans should have the right to know what is happening in our society. The Sunday Fox News guest is not coming from the White House; due to it is not a news station anymore.Obama has mentioned in an interview, “that he is not losing any sleep over this.” I don't think that they would have mentioned that if he wasn't loosing any sleep over it. They are probably staying up at night trying to figure out what to do. I think that President Obama is trying to get the focus on something else beside his healthcare bill, so people will be worried about other things. So when people will wake up one day they will have government run health care. If Bush would have attacked a news station like this the liberals would have gone after him saying that he has such bad tactics. We are fighting to prevent government run health care, why would we want government run press.
