On Friday, August 28th Harlan had the ultimate showdown with the Denison Monarchs. The first game of the season. Denison had a good game for the most part, Sherff had some amazing tackles and blocks. The first half was the best part of the game. Denison scored first, then it was 7-0. Harlan scored and it was 7-7. Matt Hoch had an expeptionally great game with around 10 tackles. Ben Bruck a freshman also had a lucky touchdown, the punt was blocked by Anthony Hough and then Ben cought it in the air from the line, and ran it back into the touchdown for 6. In the end Harlan won once again 56-21, both teams looked amazing.
