Today Austin talked about deforestation, dams, and other land features that the new deal had. He explained how it created jobs, and created revenue for the government while paying the workers. Many without local jobs could get work from the govt and get money. In the 1940's, metal industries rised in production due to WW2, and the dams built helped power electricity to the factories.

The TVA expanded by mass production, and congress passed a bill so the tva could stay alive. Through the 60's and the 80's, electricity rates were very low, and had customers all over the U.S> to survive. They also moved on to Nuclear energy, and were environmentaly safe.

In the 90's they cut production by 800 million a year, and lost half of the workers. But yet, there efficiancy was really good. In the 2000's, they became the biggest power plant production in the U.S.
