Dictatorship-government by a ruler who has a complete power.
- Hitler- started around World War I, 1933 he became into power. 11 million people have been killed in his concentration camps.
- Saddam Hussein- Leader of Iraq. He used chemical weapons to torture people. He eventually arrested for crimes of humanity. He was sentenced to hanging in 2006. Non dictator of the 20th centry.
- Josef Stalin- He killed people who didn't agree with him when he came into power. He had an alliance with Hitler until 1941. He would kill kids by bribing them with food, there was a famine at that time.
- Kim John II- Fearless leader, gained power in July 1994. He died from a heart attack in 2011. His power moved on to his son.
- Mussolini- used World Wars to come into power. he gained so much power so fast. The country loved because they had just come out of the World Wars. Him and Hitler worked together. Killed by Italians.
Anarchy- a situation in which there is no effective government in a country or no order in an organization or situation.
- Somalia- 1991-1006, the government doesn't have control over the country. Terrorist run the country.
- Soviet Union- Late 1980 and early 1990, the government fell apart.
- Iceland- lost control over the economy in 2008- 2011.
