Wednesday- In the first time in 13 years, the President has asked Congress to go to war against ISIS. 3 Muslim students were shot to death near UNC at Chapel Hill. They said they were arguing over a parking spot; they victims were fairly young.
Thursday- There are 13 states in the United States that don't have gay marriage; mostly Southern States. The Southeast are called the Bible Belt because they are really religious there (Separation of Church between State)

Monarchy absolute-
- is a government determined by only it's ruler (no laws)
- Brunei, Oman, Qatar, Arabia (Asia), Swaziland (Africa)
Monarchy constitutional- Ruler are restricted to those granted under the constitution and the laws
- United Kingdom, Denmark, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Monaco
- The leader of these monarchies are just a public figure
Democracy-direct- (Pure Democracy)
- where citizens have a good say in the laws that the Country makes and have an influence
- Switzerland- the government has options of the laws then have certain amount of people sign it
Democracy-representative-
- (Indirect Democracy) instead of people voting for law, they vote for people to make official laws in government (Congress)
- United States, Canada, Cambodia, Chile all have these
- The rule of a few people that are more rich and more powerful than the other -- don't come out and say that they are an oligarchy

- Russia
- India - ruled by a small circle of wealthy people
- Britain - poor get poor, the wealthy keep getting wealthy and the Monarchs/Parliamentary do not care
- China - Once a week, the leaders get together and talk about how they want the country to be
