depression is a long and severe recession in an economy or market
the causes of the great depression was the stock market crash which distributed wealth around the US by people getting loans and credits but not being able to pay back.
vicious cycle- people have no money, people can't buy things, company stop producing, they lay people down, people don't have jobs therefore they have no money.
overproducing was also a cause of the great depression
