Treaty of Versailles:
- lost land to France, Belgium, Denmark, Czescholvakia, Poland; lost cities, companies and resources
- later Hitler invaeded all those countries in WW2
- army was reduced to 100,000 men
- no tanks, no air force, small amount if ships
- had to pay $33 billion
- Germany had to take "war guilt clause"
- League of nation was set up
-> focuse was to punish germany
