Mussolini:
He gained power by: Forming a fascist group in Italy. Marched to Rome, threatened government. Became prime minister.
How he lost power: Voted out by his own Grand Council. Seemed as if he wanted out. New prime minister was Pietro Badoglio.
Emmanuel III:
He gained power by: Becoming King because of his family.
Lost power by: Public opinion forced a vote. Emmanuel voted Monarchy, but lost.

Wanted to be like Hitler. Allied with Germany. Wanted to be a world power like Germany. Dictator of Italy until 1943. Forced Italy into war. Replaced by Pietro Badolgio. Shot on April 28, 194?
Badolgio:
Chief of Staff of Italian Army. Replaced Mussolini. First Prime Minister of Non Fascist Govt.
Riccardi:
Chief od Staff of the Navy. Forced to step down with Mussolini. Succeeded by Raffaele de Courten.
Ambrosio:
Italian army chief of staff. Told Mussolini to get out of the war.

-Signed by Great Britain, the U.S, Japan, France, and Italy.
- Designed to prevent an arm's race
- It limited the construction of battleships, battle cruisers and aircraft.
- Did not restrict cruisers, destroyers,
Guaranteed Chinese independence and upheld the open door policy. Signed by the U.S Japan, China, France, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Portugal.

Asked Mussolini to take over power in Italy to keep the communists out of Italy.
Fascism: A government led by a strong dictator.
Kellogg-Briand Pact: Countries pledged not to use war as a way to settle disputes.
