What is the US Constitution?-
Set of Laws on how to govern and keep our country equal.

Because we wanted to get from Great Britain and make our own country.

Keep the power all around not just one person, it breaks our powers in branches.

All the branches of government check on each other to make sure they are not abusing their powers.

There are no requirements.

They get appointed by the President.

The retire or die or get impeached.

Article I- Legislative Branch: Bicameral, Reps serve for two year terms, Senators serve for 6 year terms. Important Powers: make laws, set taxes, Carrel war, override Vetoes, borrow money, print money.
Article II- Executive Branch- President and Vice president are elected to 4 years terms. Have to be 35, 14 year resident, and natural born citizen, elected by the electoral college, important powers: Commander-in-Chief, Grant pardons, make treaties, appoint federal officers, and ensure laws are executed. Impeachment- President, Vice president, and all civil officers can be removed for crimes.
