Farmers in need

Ag was a high priority in the New Deal

The farm credit act (1933)

Soil act (1935)

The amount of farmers decresed throughout the years.

Taxes had to be paid off by cash

No farmers had enough cash so they could not survive.

New Deal

What was considerd wrong with the new deal.

The new deal increased taxes a lot. 

People lost their jobs durning this time. 

Less jobs means more unemployment

Charles liked the new deal.

Three R's

Temporary help for people who didn't have jobs.

Helped with older people, along with disabled people

Designed for the economy to quickly bounce back.

Adressing the causes to the depression.

1st New Deal

Aimed to stabalize the economy.

Encourage people to put money back in their banks

Most Americans found something that they liked and something that they disliked in the 1st new deal

2nd New Deal

This was more agressive and it continued to help Americans.

This helped give jobs to unemployed people.

Fireside Chats

In the 1930's, 90% of Americans had radios

It was a radio brodcast from FDR to the Americans

Encouraged Americans to stop taking money out of banks

Gave 30 fireside chats in 11 years. 

 Friday- Mr. Bruns went over the 1930's.
