The territory was ruled by a variety of powers, including Lithuania, poland, The ottoman Empire, Austria Hungary, and Russia
During WW1 part of Ukraine fought on Austria Hungary's side while others fought on the Russian side
After WW1 Ukraine became part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1922
Ukraine became independent in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union and communism in eastern Europe

Monopoly - is trying to get rid of competition
Practice of Communism - Everything is controlled and ran by the government, people dont have freedom of speech, or religion, etc.

Theory of Communism- (Karl Marx) - Every business is owned by the public, with no social classes; everyone is equal.
