Elizabeth Cady Stanton was an American Suffragist. Many women had fought for there rights to vote and be able to go into whatever career they wanted, but Stanton had fought for many more rights. Stanton had fought for rights like women's parental and custody, employment rights, divorce and birth control.
Elizabeth was born on November 12th, 1815, in Johnstown, New York. She graduated from from Willard's Troy Female Seminary in 1832 and on 1840 she had got married to Henry Stanton. Elizabeth always had wanted to be involved in the things the male kids when she was younger but she was not able to because she was a girl.
