In the election of 1952 the rep. for the republicans was Dwight D. Eisenhower and the Democrats rep. was Adlai E. Stevenson ( click for link ). Mr.Eisenhowe said that he would get US out of Korea and clean up the government which simply meant he was going to fix the mistakes that Truman did in office with his bridery scandels. Eisenhower's three main points of his campaign was ; Korean War, corruption, and a balanced budget. For Eisenhower he utilized tv, radio, and in my opinion he utilized WOMEN ! He would have women go on talk shows and make pictures that would appeal household wives and make them vote for him. Also i think that it was huge that Eisenhower was so power and well liked that his oppenent in the election didnt even talk crap about him or mudsling against him.
The American Heritage Foundation was pushing the campaign had and wanting people to vote saying " Vote As You Please, BUT VOTE !" Both canidates were campaign hard over tv, pictures on cereal boxes and even toothpaste. Even the AHF was kinda worried about people voting since world wars just happened and AHF wasnt for sure if people were still going to vote, the people were actually very excited and eager to vote. In the end these were the college electoral votes " Ike had 442 to 89 for Stevenson ". ( Ike is Eisenhower )
