Diving into the Coldest Water.

Lewis Pugh dove in the Artic ocean, and had a one kilometer swim in 29-degree Fahrenheit water. Lewis is a 40 year old man from Britain, but he moved to South Africa when he was ten. Pugh got his education in South Africa at Cambridge University. He was a maritime lawyer, but he didn't really enjoy it. He loves swiming and wants to set the record for cold water swims. Swiming in cold water does have consequences like how he lost feeling in his hands four months after the swim in the Artic and his hands were swollen when he got out. That swim took him 18 minutes and 50 seconds, and was in water 7 degrees colder than the water that the people from the titanic died in.

I think that he is crazy. I would never swim in freezing water voluntarily, and I think that I would die. I hope that he gets the record, or it would seem like he did this all for nothing.
