The United States Declaration of Independence was a statement that announced the thirteen colonies independence. One of the major points of the Declaration of Independence is that all men possess certain unalienable rights like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As we all know it our founding fathers did not write the Declaration of Independence in a day, it actually only took him 17 days! Fifty six important men signed this important piece of American history. It was signed on July 4, 1776.

I think the Declaration of Independence Is thee single most important document in American history.
Without it we would probably all have bad teeth, be eating crumpets, and drinking tea.
