Well I just found out that we're getting out at 1:30.................BOY IM SHUPER EXCHITED! You have nooooooooooo idea. I'm gonna go sledding and drink plenty of hot cocoa when I get home. Oh, Boy. Anywho..we went into the discussion of the Rwanda, its quite a sad story. Then, Mr. Bruns breezed through his powerpoint of Rwanda. We then watched Hotel Rwanda.The Hutus bribed normal citizens to help kill the Tutsis with land, food, and other things. It started because people killed Rwanda's President, President Hyabbernmina, or something. It was very well organized how the Hutus followed through with this. The movie is based in Kigali. The hutus made up 85% of the population. How it ended; the Tutsis finally took over Kigali and the Tutsis kinda..won. Or they stopped the genocide anyway. The Hutus now are just stirring trouble in the Congo. Machetes were the weapons of choice because they were cheap and worked. To be considered genocide a person has to be killing of a certain race. It wasn't genocide because it was the same religion or something. and weren't considered ethnic groups. Thousands die every month in the congo of lack of food.
