Today in CWI we talked about Rwanda again. They lost 20% of their population. The Hutu's bribed normal citizens to help kill people. Tutsis had better education and better jobs. The plane crash caused the killing to start. Later today we are going to watch a video. The movie is called Hotel Rwanda. Kigali is the capital of Rwanda. Hutus made up 85% of the population. Hutu's are considered to be at fault for the plane crash. It ended with a rebel victory by the Tutsis. Rwandan Patriotic Army chased out the Tutsis out of Rwanda. The genocide ended with their vicotry and 800,000 people dead. Roadblocks set up to capture Tusis and Hutu moderates. Machetes are the weapon of choice because they are avaliable and they are cheap.Then we started the movie and we didnt have to take notes on it.
