We totally get out early today : ) and also we have NO SCHOOL tomorrow. Woooo!!! : ) I'm soooo excited!!We did our Rwanda discussion today. The country lost 20% of their population because they were killed. They tortured them by rape, cutting off limbs, brainwashing them, and hurting them. In 100 days they killed between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people which is very sad. The Hutus bribed normal citizens to help kill the Tutsis. They said that whoever they killed, they would get their land. We are going to start Hotel Rwanda today. But first we are watching a powerpoint that Bruns has made. Hutus were 85% of the population. The US didn't do anything to help. Clinton regrets not helping. The Hutus set up road blocks and stopped Tutsis. They knew they were Tutsis because of ID cards that they wore. They used machetes to kill them cause they were the most available weapon. That is awful.. Talk about a painful death, being hacked to death with a machete has to be at the top of the list of most painful deaths.
