So today in CWI we continued the movie A Planet in Peril. We started at the part where they find some poachers. The poachers said that they were just after some small game, but when they went to their camp they had a cooler full of meat. The next story was about a nun named sister Dorthy. She was big into stopping loggers and poachers. She was very succesful and so the big logging and poaching companies didn't like her. She was walking home one day when two guys approched her. She read them a piece of the bible, and when she turned to go they shot her. They left her to die in the mud and the next day they confesed. They were paid to do it by some companies. They thought it would stop people from stopping them, but it did the opposite. People now fight for Sister Dorthy and to stop the companies.The next story was about this boy who was diagnosed at age six with lukimia. His mom then discided to find out what it was. She then found out that it was the polution in the air by where they live. People are saying that they are now going to stop it. They then said that all of the problems that they have investigate during the movie are all interconnected. They said that we all have to do something to stop it not just a few of us. That was they end of the movie. Then we started to talk about Rwanda. It was the mass killing of the Tutsi and some moderate Hutus. That's what I learned about today in CWI.
