Today in class the internet was down at the beginning. I took my Canadian test today and missed 3. We started watching a video called Planet In Peril. It was about climate change and on the artic circle.They were the first people to visit the glacier on Greenland. It wasn't connected it was a seperate island. This island was made cause of global warming. The believe ice has diminished by 40% in the last 40 years. Even the map of Greenland is changing. They have an underground electrical room and kitchen along with getting hot fresh bread. That room also works as a work place too. They went in the helecopter looking for Polar Bears. Polar Bears are hard to find. They shot a polar bear so it would stop running, but it doesn't kill the bear. They did research on the polar bear. Bears are having strange behavior lately. The ice melting has made it hard for Polar bears to get food. Carter Islands of Papa New Guinnea are loosing shore line. The people on that island might have to move to a different one. The oceans have warmed up one degree Fhareinheit. That is what we learned and what I learned in class today.
