Allies- Formed during the war around the Triple Ententes which was formed before the war .. Italy joined secretly leaving the triple alliances ,,, US joined after a boat was sunk by a German U-Boat
Strategies- Three major:
Schlieffen plan - 90% of Germany’s troops armed forces to attack France. The rest of the Germans were sent to the stop any Russian advance
Plan 17 was France's plan- French army
Plan 19- Russia's plan
*Germany wanted to weaken France due to them being rivals for decades
*They also wanted to annex land from Belgium so they could turn it into a vessel for German Empire
*Germany as well as Austria-Hungary wanted to become a colonial power during the war
*Basically everyone was after land but the US just wanted to end the war and win
