Monday- We filled out our new maps and talked about semester test, we are not having one but are taking a 3 day test over what we have talked about since our last none map test. We went over the new form post.
Tuesday- We took a online test to see what political party we were more like, it took up most of the class time.
Wednesday- We went over the test we did online and talked about the different parties. We also really talked about the green party.
Thursday-
Abortion
- Democrat- Pro choice
- Abortion is a woman’s right and should be legal
- Republican- Pro life
- Abortion should be illegal and restricted by government

- It is legal
Gun Control
- Democrat- Favor gun control
- Republicans- Oppose it. Saying it is unconstitutional
FRIDAY- We had group discussions on massacres and genocides.
Genocides
Darfur-
- Janjaweed- People went around and killed and raped men women and children in Darfur. They burned villages, polluted their water. Arab people killing black Africans. 2.8 million are still missing. They are supported by Albishars.
- 100 people died reached day and 5,000 per month
- Sudan government is responsible for it, told them what to do and when and where to do it
- They signed a agreement to halt fire on each other
- The UN made it a top priority for the security
- UN is giving a lot of aid to Chad (where the people fled to)
- Peace keeping troops were sent, to keep the Janjaweed from attacking
- Darfur is right by the desert and farm land is very little, J’s are going this because they want the limited farm land
- Sahara Deseret is growing

Rwanda Africa
- Hutu and Tutsi trying to take each other out
- Tutsi were higher than the Hutu during the control of the English
- They look like they are from the same race
- 1994 the leader of the Hutu was killed in a airplane crash
- In over a 3 month time span the Hutu will 800,000 Tutsi were killed
- They were killed with machetes.
- Rwandans are responsible for the executions

- H’s gained the most from the crash and took over the government in less than 24 hours
- Not much was done some peace keeping troops were sent there and it was never called a genocide.
Turkey and Armina
- The Turkish came in and killed and deported the Arminian.
