Darfur and Sudan "Genocide"

Many terrible things are happening in our world right now. What happened to the good old days? When everyone was happy and got along. Why so much hatred? One issue taking place right now is the conflict between Darfur and Sudan. It all began in February 2003 when two rebal groups, the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army (SLA) and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), joined forces and began to attack. They accused the Sudanese government of favoring Arabs over black Africans. This didnt settle well, a war broke out between the two rebal groups and the Janjaweed.Darfur is the size of France or Texas and is located in western Sudan. 400,000 people have been killed and 2,500,000 people have been displaced, and four million relied on volunteers to help them survive. There are many causes of what happened there, but the main issues are they are underdeveloped and marginalization. Darfur has also failed to distibute power and wealth equally and they cannot control their enviroment. The people of Darfur and the United State's call this a genocide, but people of sudan and the United Nations say they are over exaderating and that its not a genocide. I dont care what they want to call it but the fact they people are dying constantly and the United Nations arnt doing anything about it is what makes me mad.So many men, women, and childeren are being tortured and treated inhumanly such as being starved, raped, murdered, and displaced. After the Holocaust occured world leaders said "Never again will this Happen!" Then genocides happend in Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda and now a genocide is occuring between Darfur and Sudan. Why are the world leaders allowing this to happen? Why arn't they sticking to their words? Can't we take control of situations like these and fix them before it gets so out of hand that millions of peoples lifes are gone? I think its sad that no one is helping out the people in Darfur.
