Darfar, Sudan is the approximate size of Texas or France. Their crisis started sometime in February 2003. The US believes that this was a genocide, for the reason that the UN had estimated that over 200,000 people were killed. For this reason people wanted to move or be helped by volunteers to survive. Causes of the crisis include that they are underdeveloped, discrimination of different ethnic groups, they also have failed to distribute power and wealth equally.
There were two different groups who started this. They are the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA), and the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM). JEM wanted to over through the Sudanese and government, for the government had favored the Arabs opposed to the black people.
No one has even tried to stop this. People are just not helping in any way because they think they are superior opposed to other ethnic groups or heritage’s. Why do people think this way? Why can’t we have world peace? Why can’t we all just get along? Is humanity doomed to a world with unfair judgment and to people who can’t get along? Nobody seems to know these answers… and it seems to me that history repeats itself over and over again and it won’t ever stop. I don’t know if the people of this world even want to work together. They are just to full of themselves to even think of others. All they want is the power and wealth. I don’t think this world will ever be completely at peace…
