Cuban Restrictions Lifted

There has been a policy in the United States for various restrictions on interactions with Cuba. For example, even if you had family in Cuba and you lived in the United States, you are not allowed to call them or send them money. The U.S. treasury department has lifted these two bans, and I think that it will be a very controversial issue. On one hand, I think that lifting these restrictions will be a good thing. It is one of the few things that I think will be beneficial for this country. People should be allowed to talk to their family. It is a right that every person should have, even if they live in another country. There shouldn't be a restriction of talking to your own flesh and blood. By being allowed to send them money, they have a better chance of coming here and being reunited with their families. On the other side of things, a lot of talk of terrorism has gone on down there. Allowing communication may be not such a great idea especially if we have another terrorist attack. I think that if that does happen, America will loose almost all faith in Barack Obama for allowing this.I think it will be a good thing to atleast give a chance, but if we recieve any serious threats or a terrorist attack does happen, that we find originated in Cuba, these bans need to be reinstated and never brought off again under these circumstances. I really and truly hope that this will work. I know that Cuban-Americans will be happy to have these priveledges and hopefully they will not abuse them.
