The Stock Market Crash of 1929- On October 24th, 1929, also known as Black Thursday, stock prices fell like crazy so people whom had stocks were selling them a lot and in the end everyone was without money because there was no money. The Great Depression- The Great Depression was an economic slump from 1929 to 1939 that caused not only the U.S. economy to drop but also the European economy. Some of the causes of the Great Depression was The Stock Market Crash of 1929 which caused stockholders to lose a lot of money. Another cause of the Great Depression was when banks across America failed. The banks failed because deposits from those banks were uninsured, so that caused people to lose there savings. One final cause would have to be the drought conditions in the Mississippi Valley in 1930. This was such a big cause because some of the people there could not pay their taxes or other debts which caused the U.S. government to lose a ton of money.Honestly if I was in the great depression I'd probably be one of the statistics on the rising suicide rate, kidding of course. But yes my life is pretty much based around money so without it i'd be one upset boy. But eventually I would of gotten through it and everything would of been fine.
