causes of the depression

There are many causes of the great depression. One of the causes is that any one could get credit. It was to easy for any one to just walk in a place and say I want to buy this but I don’t want to pay for it now and many people went in to dept like that. An other one is because of the WWI, Germany had to pay the damages that they had caused. And that made it hard to sell American goods to them because they were broke.and that made us mad so we put a taliff on our goods and that made them mad so they put a tariff on their goods. to get back at us and that basicaly shut down trade all together.i think the farmers suffered more than any thing because they tack out loans to cover for all their equiptment n stuff like that and after the WWIthe crop price went down by at least 40%. and so they couldnt make their payments so they tried to increase thier production hoppingof selling more but it only brroght the price down further than it already was. their income dropped from $10 billion to $4 billon. many had to forclose their homes. congress tried to help farmers wit dept problems by trying to passing McNary-Haugen bill. where the goverment would buy garinteed crops n sell them on world market.but coolidge, the president vetoed it twice. and the last major cause is that ritch peope got payed good n people tat were broke got payed badly like the people warked on the asembily line got payed bad n they were already pour so they couldnt afourd much including wat they were making. n ritch people got payed so they can aford jus about any thing. and i think thoes r the main causes of the depperesion

reasons to the stock market crash. people bought stocks ignoring the risks trying to get quick money(speculation) and most people tat bought stocks bought on margin witch is payin a down parment out of their owne money and then paying the rest wit loans from the bank or jus barowing the rest. on black tuesday the stock market started to plumit and people didnt have enough confidence to not sell so people tried to sell their stocks b4 ti went down even lower. the stock market crash started the great depression.Danzer, Gerald A., J.
