On Sunday December 7, 1941, Japan made a unnanouced attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the air raid lasted from 6 am till about 9:45 am. The first air raid left at 6 and it had 183 planes. The second one happened at 7:15 and had 167 planes. The Japanese lose 27 planes out of 350. Luckly the prime targets were able to escape the attack and those were the three U.S. Pacific Fleet aircraft carriers the Lexington, Enterprise and Saratoga. The people that were killed or wounded was a very high number 2,335 servicemen were killed along with 68 civilians, also 1,178 people were wounded.
