Today in class we continued to do our presentations, Stacy and Tony had species extinctions. The cases of it are poachers, hunters, predator, climate change, and overpopulation. Some endagered animals are the leapord, Giant Panda, Bald Eagles. Some species that are already extinct are the Mason Wasp, large Blue Buterfly. More than half of the world's species will be extinct in the next 100 years. How to prevent it fundraising and donating money and to prevent animals from being on the endagered list is putting them in captivity. Also the coral reefs are dying because of the warm water that effects the whole ecosystem. It is important that we care about what animals dye off because if effects a lot of things.LIz Payton and Megan had deforestation, which is removing trees from forests and rainforests. It effects the forest, the topsoil, leaves poor nutrion in soil, clog up rivers, trees help rain, and then it messes up everything. It also affects species, trees also take in carbon dioxide, no trees add 3 billion tons of carbon dioxide because we are taking away trees. Some causes are forest fires, and big mining companies, commercial logging, and construction, and farming purposes all cause deforestation. We also help with this problem. Ways to prevent this to watch out for packageing, and repant trees, make things a national park, and requre comapanies to reforestation. South America, Brazil, Africa, Indonesia, Central America also have problems with deforestation.
