Today in class we continued to debate over the Democrat and Republican views. The Democrats and the Republican both want to help the environment, but the Democrats are a little extreme. The Republicans want to dig for oil, but the Democrats say no, because it will destroy the environment. The Democrats think we are responsible for the environment and the earth. Republicans think harsh environmental policies destroy jobs and the economy. My opinion is that we need to find a way to stop relying on oil.We then talked about immigration, and that the Democrats want more open borders. The Republicans don’t want illegal immigrants in our country. They don’t want open borders, because they don’t want to let terrorist into our country. I think that if there are some illegal immigrants in our country, I’m fine with it as long as they have a job and are paying taxes.3Madison
