General George S. Patton is a man of war. His life evolves around war. When the president elects him to lead the U.S. army he is focused on making the soldiers as dedicated as he is. He takes charge of even the cooking staff. The movie Patton is the winner of 7 academy awards and describes the battle between the U.S. and Germany.General Patton is a man who likes to be ahead of the “gang”. He is put in charge of the American forces in North Africa where he leads them to the victory of many battle; battles such as Battle of the Kasserine Pass, Battle of El Guettar, and the participation if the invasion of Sicily. During the invasion he goes against British General Bernard Law Montgomery. The two generals race against one another to capture the port of Messina. Through out the movie Patton refers to his belief in reincarnation and tells his soldiers how at ancient battles he knows he was there.Although he is a very strong general he has a tendency to speak his mind a little too harshly; with words that later get him in trouble. After slapping a shell-shocked soldier in the hospital and the many curse words to the press Patton is relieved of his commanding duties. After begging later on in the movie he is put in charge of the U.S. third army. He fights very hard against Germans, Nazis, and the British. General Patton was a big part of WWII.The movie itself personally bores me. Mainly because it is an older movie and doesn’t have the plot line that most new movies have. It is very good at showing the history of the Second World War. I personally would only recommend it to the people who are big into history. Although if you really want to watch it go for it!Respectfully Submitted,2Jennifer
