Condoleezza Rice
Condoleezza Rice was born on November 14th, 1954 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born into a very intelligent family. Both of her parents were professors. At the age of three, she had mastered the skill of being able to play the piano. Skipping grades sixth and seventh, she was ahead of most kids her age and entered college at the age of fifteen. She has three . One is doctorate in and got her Master's in just one year of study. It is known that Condoleezza was a good ice skater and a huge football fan in her younger years.
After college she had a job as a college professor at Stanford. She taught Political Science from 1981 to 1999. During those years, she started being Stanford’s provost. A provost is responsible for keeping an eye on the school’s budget and academic programs. When Bush was elected president for his first presidency, she served as a member of the National Security staff and as a National Security Advisor during Bush’s second presidency.
Condoleezza is not the first, but the second woman to be the US Secretary of State. Madeline Albright was the first US Secretary of State during the Clinton administration. Although, Rice was the first African American woman to be Secretary of State and she also holds the highest position any black woman in a presidential cabinet has held.
