John F Kennedy was born at 83 Beals Street in Brooklyn, Massechusettes on Tuesday, May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He had six brothers and sisters. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, a self-made multimillionaire who headed the Securities and Exchange Commission under Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. John grew up in a home where politics were talked about a lot and where many debates took place. Growing up, John had a pretty wealthy family. Their father set up trust funds for each of them, which made them financially independent when they all reached maturity. As a chhild, John Kennedy was very ammune to getting sick. Quoted :
"When we were growing up together," his younger brother Robert later recalled, "we used to laugh about the great risk a mosquito took in biting Jack Kennedy—with some of his blood the mosquito was almost sure to die." Unlike most others who had the same situation as e did, he did not let this get in his way. He still participated in the family fierce athletic competitions. Because of his illnesses, he gradually became a phenomoenal reader as well as a facist. He was not admired only for his accomplishments in life, but as for his personality.
To try to not follow his brother, he applied at Prinston, and ws accepted. Once again, he became ill and dropped out. Later, he enrolled at Harvard. On campus he was very well liked (popular) and met many lifelong friends. He was only what we call "an average" student, as he enjouyed his social part of college and lackedd in his classes. He became ill once agian, but this time,he had a back injury playing football. Although he had had back issues when he was younger, this is what is beleived to have started the back pain from then on out.
During WWII, JFK served as a commander in the military of the Motor Torpedo Boat PT-109. After this is when he really started to become politially interested.
On November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, President John F. Kennedy was assasined as was shot int he head during a parade by Jack Ruby.
