11. Describe the early development of US political parties.
Hamilton came up with the first national bank. He started taxes, and people had to pay for bonds. Some people thought that it was unfair so jefferson tried to put an end to it. Hamilton was a fedralist, and Jeferson was more of a democratic. George Washington said that it wasnt a good idea to have two parties. Jefferson said that they needed to have farmers have more say. Washington- He set a standard for every president after him. He was elected four times. He helped set up the cabnit(supreme court, ect..) Everyone looked at him as a great leader, and someone they could look up to.
Jefferson- His most infamous thing he did was the louisiana purchase.
Jackson- he wanted to help the common people out. He was a tough president. States were pushing/fighting the laws. Jefferson made sure that the government was more powerful. He was real hard on the native americans, that was the time of the trial of tears, he established the Fist National Bank.

james madison signed the declaration of war. There was a impresment of the sailors, the British wouldn't agree to stop seasing the American Soilders. They were stoping u.s. ships.Its not really for sure of who won the war, but alot of people beleive Britain because they won the last battle,that pretty much ended the war. This war probably shouldnt of happened. The U.S gained respect from Great Britain, and we became united. and our cotton factories took off.

They were offering alot of cheap land, but they said that you had to have alot of requirements. 187 texans waited 13 days, waiting to be attacked. they all died. over all Texas won the war.
15. Describe the causes and effects of the Mexican american war.
America thought that the line for texas was different then what it was. America went down to the Reo Grande, and thought that it was our land, so Mexicans got mad, and war starded. This war was basically instigated by the president. This war was simply for land. The United states won the war.We got alot of land from the war, we got California and New mexico from the war. we signed a treaty to end the war. We took 50% of their land, and we paid 15 million for it.

The underground rail road, natives went underground to excape to free land. When they went to houses there was symbols above the houses to let them know that its a safe house.
