they saw that the spanish were getting rich from there settlers finding gold.
The first settlers were settling to look for gold.
Another reason people to look for religious freedom the catholics
lots were brought over for slavery. They planned to get rich and then return to England. They planned to get to rich off farming and furs.

Faught between french and american indians against England. Caused because England wanted to kick out the french and gain control of the louisiana purchase and canada. The French wanted to keep control to continue trading with the indians and to possibly gain more land.
EFFECTS- British won and the french were kicked almost completely out of north america. Line of Procemation was the farthest line west that the English could move and the rest was left for the French and Indian. This line didn't last and was broken almost within a year. Great Britian went into major debt because England could not afford the war. To pay for it England started taxing the settlers.

"no taxation without representation" they were getting taxed without having any say in the decision and be represented in the goverment. The king refused there request. Communication was extremely slow and britian couldn't get a handle on things fast enough. They got fed up with not having and influence on anything and eventually led to the americans wanting to go to war for there freedom.

-no taxation so they had no money they could get for war.
-gave power to state government, and the state had the right to refuse giving them money which they did often or they would give it to them in small amounts over a long period of time.
-the states couldn't agree on anything and there wasn't much money.
