The Attack of Pearl Harbor, a US naval base in Hawaii. The Japanese commenced the attack. It was helt in 3 wave attacks, where there'd be a beginning group to attack, to wear down the Americans followed by an ever more stronger attack.
Overall it was a big loss for the US catastrophic damage.. The Japanese commanders were, Chuichi Nagumo and Isoroku Yamamoto. The United States commanders were Husband Kimmel, and Walter Short. 2,345 military killed
1,247 military wounded 57 civilians killed 35 civilians wounded was the damages for the US. 55 airmen killed
9 submariners killed were the damages for the Japanese.
I believe the war cause the speediness to war in the United States, it made it clear to the US that we weren't invincible were we were at and it could indeed hit the mainland if we didn't man up. This raid was a great victory for the Japanese, but in the end it ended up causing great problems to the Japanese by angering us.
