Why Did They Attacked?

-The Japanese navy was attacking the U.S. fleets to keep the U.S. from influencing the war that Empire of Japan was plaaning in Southeast Asia, against Britain, and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S. into the Phillipines.

-The U.S. was getting in the way of Japan invading other major countries for resources.

-Also to stop the U.S. from interfering with Japan's conquest of the Dutch East Indies and Malaya.

Where Did The Attack Happened?

-Pearl Harbor, in Hawii Territory

Results Of The Attacks By Japan.

-Japan had a major victory there, but then U.S. declared war Against Empire of Japan

-Japan was waiting for other allies ( Nazi-Germany and Kingdom of Italy) to declare war on the U.S. once the U.S. attacked Japan's allies would come to their aid.

-For 2 long hours they killed or wounded 3,500 Americans or sanked or badly damaged 18 ships-including all 8 battleships of the Pacific Fleet-and over 350 destroyed or damaged.

-At least 1,177 lives were lost when the Battleship U.S.S. Arizona exploded and subsequently sanked
