For this coming weekend, my (Assigned) choice blog is about the baby that was born on an AirAsia flight this Wednesday. It occured midflight from the northern island of Penang to Kuching on Borneo island, when Liew Siaw Hsia went into labor. She was assisted by flight attendents and a doctor that was on board. The aircraft made an emergency flight change to the Malaysian capital, which is Kuala Lumpur, but the baby arrived just before landing.
Plane where it all happenedThe baby is one of few to be born 2,000 feet above the ground. To celebrate such a merry and momentous occasion, both the mother and the baby were presented with free flights for life by AirAsia's director of operations Moses Devanayagam. Which I think is pretty cool, considering I've never been on a plane before. So all in all, this (at the time) baby was one second old, and he was on a plane more times than I. AND he gets a lifetime transportation to adventures? Lucky.
