For my assigned blog i am doing the United Nations. There are 192 out of 195 countries in the world that are in the United Nations. I really didnt realized how many countries there are! wow. I cant believe there are only three countries that arent in the United Nations. Isnt that amazing? I bet it would be hard to comunicate with the different leads. I so couldnt learn all the different languages spanish is hard enough for me. The United Nations has been together for almost 70 years. That really isnt that long. The United Nations was formed in october of 1945. My grandparents where alive when that happened how wierd.The United Nation Symbol is pretty sweet.
Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia in Febuary of 2009 and hasnt been able to join yet. Taiwan was replaced in the United Nations by Rupublic of China. I really dont get that it got me confused. How could the Republic of China take Taiwan's spot in the United Nations? Anyway to get back on topic the other country that is in the United Nations is Vatican City / The Holy See. Vatican City has 771 including the Pope. That isnt a lot of people. This country was formed in 1929. I would think there would be more people would live there but i quess i was wrong.
How could the Republic of China take Taiwan's spot in the United Nations? Because we and the UN recognized Tawain as China until 1971. China was communist and was not recognized as a country.
